The LOGOS Foreign Languages Centre manages and organises, in accordance with its Articles of Association, the research activities listed below:
- Research activities corresponding to the thematic axes specific to the Applied Foreign Languages Department: Theoretical and Applied Linguistics, Specialised Languages, Translation Studies, Anglophone Culture, Francophone Culture, Foreign Languages Didactics.
The LOGOS Centre also comprises the Centre for the analysis and research of pedagogical technologies complying with the ARACIS I.P.B.1.2.2. ref.1 standard of quality: “The organisation of study programmes is monitored and supported by inner specialised structures such as “centres for pedagogical analysis and development” where innovative and efficient pedagogical technologies are developed.

The directions of research have to be integrated into the intelligent fields of specialization associated with the programmes of study (OMEN 5376/19.10.2017)
The themes of research must be relevant for the coordinated programmes of study. The scientific themes of research relevant for the socio-economic environment must be given pride of place.
Each theme of research is ascribed to a team of research (teaching staff , researchers and students – mentioning the programme of study they belong to), the unit of research and the estimated results: The estimated results could be:
- Papers (articles) in ISI journals/ International databases / non-indexed journals or presented at international/national scientific conferences;
- Requests for patents;
- Physical models/ experimental/functional, prototypes, normative; procedures, methodologies, regulations, new technical projects or improved technical projects;
- Studies/services resulted transferred/ ordered from/by the beneficiaries;
- MA theses/PhD theses;
A member of the teaching staff may take part in several working teams (contributes to more themes of research).
